Injaz works between local Arab municipalities and between the municipalities and the federal government in order to improve communication and advance issues such as education, the environment, planning, and allocating budgets for municipal economic development.  In this framework, Injaz’s flagship project is a forum that since 2011 has brought together senior elected and professional municipal officials in order to facilitate communication with colleagues, create partnerships, influence policies, and formulate a common agenda for addressing challenges and creating changes relevant to the pressing issues of the municipalities.  In addition, the central activities of Injaz are focused on empowering, managing and expanding the sub-committees of the National Council of Arab Mayors, in order to promote, monitor, and make accessible the relevant government decisions for the development of the municipalities

Injaz’s work among and between the Arab municipalities includes the following:  

• Monitoring of budgets and the means of distribution and the facilitation of constructive discussion between the local leadership and government ministries, and assistance in applying for and securing tenders offered by the government  

• Management of the digital communication platforms created for mayors and senior officials
